Midwich Productions breaks a near two-year silence with Web: Live at Midwich is the artistic union of To Is (Michael P. Russell) and James Marlon Magas. This 2nd release by the duo was recorded live at Midwich with no overdubs or edits. This album consists of one 30-minute track entitled Healing/Web and is a raw field recording that captures the deep, intuitive interplay between two artists on a spiritual quest, crawling through darkness in search of enlightenment. Favoring spontaneity and humanity over sleekness and perfection, soaring guitars and lyrical synthesizers snake around and through each other, criss-crossing like a DNA strand. Trusted confidants of the pair have likened the largely improvised album to obscure krautrock classics like Dom’s Edge of Time and early Popol Vuh. This digital exclusive features a hand-painted cover by renowned illustrator Mark Salwowski.
