James Marlon Magas is a film composer, skilled in the art of electronic music production. Favoring analog music creation, using a combination of outboard synthesizers, modular synthesis and modern DAW architecture, Magas is able to use this expressive medium to harness strange beauty with emotion and originality.

Magas wrote and performed music for Misunderstood aka Incompresa, a 2014 film directed by Asia Argento, starring Charlotte Gainsbourg and Giulia Salerno. It was selected to compete in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival.

Magas has recently completed the score for director Usama Alshaibi’s forthcoming feature film, This Has Already Happened, coming in 2025.
